A Reminder to Myself

To be very honest to whoever reads this post, I am not good in introducing myself. Stating my own name and age or where I am from doesn't really fit to the introducing part for me. Those are just words stating about your own self, not truly show people your background.

Hi, my name is sam. Sam is not my real name, obviously, but it's better that way. I like the name sam (though I love my real full name more), but to cover up of being known by the name 'sam' is really interesting. Well, sam didn't exist naturally, it was derived from my own real name so technically, sam is my name.

I am from Malaysia, currently balancing my life between study and events as well as being a good friend, a daughter and as sister at a local known university. I am not taking the same subject I used to learn when I was 7 years old until 19, and I have major love for our local dish called laksa.

Those are basic bits and pieces you can know about me. It's alright, if you follow me on this journey of my blogging (if I am free or I am diligent enough), you might know a bit more about me. Oh, I also have a YouTube account, here, do check it out if you want to :)

Since this is my first post, I might as well start a reminder for myself.

1. Prioritize yourself.

Life is definitely hard, maybe sometimes it is a pain in the a word. But remember that you are going on this long journey on your own self. Love yourself more, be mindful, stay out of toxic people, keep your good and best friends close with you, eat and live healthy, and god, take care of your own self.

Of course, your friends and families will always be there for you to support you for whatever you are doing with your life, but remember, everything starts with you and only you. You can't be successful enough if someone else doing your work for you.

2. Learn, even if it is small.

Learning doesn't have to be formal; sitting in class, listen to lectures, do exercises and notes. Life is all about learning, and don't be scared to learn as when you don't know anything, you will be lost on your own, and that's no fun. Learn a language, learn how to talk to elders, learn how to buy train tickets online. Learn the skills so that if you need them later, you'll know how and why we are doing it. Teach people if possible.

3. Manage money and time.

Time is important. Managing them and practice is the way to have an organised life, and fills out the time void and avoids you from being bored.

Money. Oh god, money. Manage them. That's all I want to say.

And I couldn't think of any more reminders.
But that's alright.

love,
sam.
